Bangkok Blues

While on the topic of The Hangover Part 2, I must admit to feeling thoroughly underwhelmed by their tagline, "Bangkok has them." I'd prefer "What happens in Bangkok, stays in your blood stream."

This ' I tattooed my face' scene better be funny, and better be earned.

The Buzz is Bad

Google's social networking sight, Buzz, is officially a bigger failure than Scream 4.

If only Ashton would promote it on Twitter.

My advice Google, hire a celebrity* and eventually said celebrity will share something stupid, which will outage Elisabeth on The View, and the Buzz will be on.

HP What?

To the marketing team behind HP7, you are not a Nintendo Wii game, you're Harry Potter! No trendy abbrevs allowed.

Shame on J.K. for allowing the Muggles to muck this up.

Top 40 Might Tumble

The Beach Boys are suing Katy Perry because in her infectious diddy Snoop Dogg raps the phrase 'They wish they all could be California Gurls.'

First off, he said Gurls not Girls.

Secondly, it's called an homage.

And in closing, Beach Boys, if we sue every singer who samples pop hits of past decades, there would be no Top 40.

There's still something wrong with Esther.

It's been a year and I'm still haunted by Orphan Esther; the sight of her sneaking into my Netflix suggestion box made me shudder.

Please may there be no sequel; the billboards alone will put me back into hiding.

...Put Your Hands Down!

I thought after Glee's football field rendition, we had seen the last of 'Single Lady' spoofs. But alas, The Chipmunks Squeakquel and now Sex and the City 2 attempt to squeeze more juice from the joke.

Liza Minnelli takes on the song with gusto at Stanford's wedding; shame on you, Michael Patrick King. Stanny's nuptials did contain a lot of attractive extras, shame removed...temporarily.
